Beautiful Mahjong experiences, based in Orange County and designed for players everywhere. Come learn, come play, and leave with new friends.
Red Carpet MAHJ was created by Rachel Zamolo and Lisa Lobel, two friends who have been playing American Mahjong for several years. We play by National Mahjong League rules and have competed in tournaments ourselves.
We have called Newport Beach home for over 25 years and are deeply rooted in this community. What we love most is bringing people together.
Our focus is curating beautiful events with a wonderful vibe: great people, new friendships, and an experience where you feel welcome from the moment you sit down. Expect fun, plenty of support, and, if you want it, help taking your game to the next level.
Whether you have never touched a tile or you play every week, there is a place for you at our table.
Learn American Mahjong from the very first tile. Small groups, patient teaching, and plenty of practice so you leave ready to play.
From brand new to seasoned, we tailor lessons to where you are and help you grow with confidence.
Sharpen your card reading, defense, and decision making. For players ready to win more often.
Play real games with an instructor at your table, answering questions and sharing tips until it all feels like second nature.
Relaxed, social games at a variety of lovely venues. Come solo or bring friends and we will find you a table.
Festive, beautifully curated gatherings throughout the year that celebrate the season around the table.
Friendly competition for players who love a challenge. Details to come.
Mahjong and travel, together. Imagine your favorite game in beautiful destinations near and far.
